Häagen-Dazs – your table is ready

From my hometown in America, Häagen-Dazs is an afterthought in a mall attached to a cookie vendor storefront. Order a scoop in a cup or cone and go. Here it is a dinning experience. The restaurant was packed, but few were eating. Most people were sitting and chatting or talking on their cell phones. We stood in line and were assigned a number. Welcome to Shanghai!

Our brother in-law says that ever time we come here to visit. And this was no exception. The only difference this time was that we are now here to stay! We’ve retired and brought our beast, Thor, along with us – not a simple task in itself. But more on that later – probably from Thor himself, as he can explain it best.
